SIM ANGUS

The Sim-Angus division happened purely by accident to be honest.

 

A few years ago we decided to try some semen on a highly maternal bull named CNS Dream On and loved the calves. After that successful calf crop we made the decision to breed more cows this way in order to raise bulls for use in our own commercial herd. As a result, we ended up with a number of exceptional females.

 

Further expanding the Sim-Angus division, we purchased a blaze-faced, half-blood bull that came bred by the Circle Ranch to clean up one set of Angus cows after being artificially inseminated. We called him “Blaze” and his daughters and sons have been very good.

 

We currently AI a select group of proven Angus cows each year, as well as the rest of the percentage Simmental females to high accuracy, three-quarter and purebred Simmental bulls with the goal of producing half-blood offspring.
